Let's start off with some fun facts about the month!
Birthstones:Sapphire is the birthstone for September and is said to symbolize truth, faithfulness, sincerity, and nobility.In ancient Greece and Rome, the elite believed that blue sapphires protected them from harm and envy.
Birthdays:September is a popular month for birthdays, with September 9th being the most popular day of the
year.
Zodiac signs:The zodiac signs for September are Virgo (August 23–September 22) and Libra (September 23–October 22).
Name:September's name comes from the Roman word septem, which means "7".It's also the only month with as many letters in its name as its calendar position.
Harvest Moon:The Harvest Moon in September is often the fullest moon of the
year.
Fall:In North America, the first day of fall is usually on September 22 or 23.
International Literacy Day:International Literacy Day is celebrated on September 8th every year.
National Recovery Month:September is National Recovery Month in the United States.
